Free monthly luncheon Feb. 9

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.

The menu includes meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and chocolate cake.

Masonic Lodge dinner Feb. 10

NEW SHARON — A pork loin roast dinner hosted by Franklin Lodge No. 123 will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Masonic Lodge, Route 2.

The menu includes mashed potatoes, gravy, apple sauce, green beans, corn, rolls, pies, tea and coffee. Take out is available.

The cost is $8 for adults, $6 for children, and free for children under five.

Enrichment classes listed

TURNER — A brand new season of MSAD 52 Adult Education enrichment classes starts the week of Feb. 11. Many popular favorites are returning including tumbling, snowmobile safety, Spanish, French, computers for seniors, how money works, basic welding, Zumba, adult CPR, AED, first aid and Pilates.

Brand new selections include identity piece, chair yoga, powerful presentations, painting landscapes, shoe creation, homemade cheesemaking, pottery for beginners, user friendly Web design, cardio sweat, beginning guitar and hatha yoga.

Fish chowder luncheon

FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. The luncheon includes fish chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee or tea. Donation is $6. Meals can be delivered to those who live within five miles of the church; call 778-4705.

Wilton ice fishing derby

WILTON — The Wilton Fish & Game Ice Fishing Derby will take place on Maine Free Fishing Day, Sunday, Feb. 17.

A free family fishing clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A prize of $300 will be awarded for tagged brook trout. Registration and weigh-in will take place at the Wilson Lake Boat Launch.
