CORNING, N.Y. — Edward R. Fortin, 87, of Cutler Avenue, Corning, N.Y., died Monday, Feb. 4, at Corning Hospital.

He was born March 18, 1925, in Auburn, the son of the late George and the late Rose Anna (St. Onge) Fortin. Edward and Arlene Fortin were married in 1946 in Lewiston.

Edward was employed as an assembler for Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post, N.Y., retiring in 1987, after serving proudly for 36 years. Edward recently received his 60-year service pin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Fortin of Corning; one daughter, Laura (Lawrence) Guly of Rochester, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Donna, Debra, Deanna, Erika; and six great-grandchildren.
