LIVERMORE FALLS — Twenty-three members from the Tri Town Seniors met at Murray Hall on Feb. 4 with Vice President Pat Couture presiding.

The meeting started with the usual opening ceremonies followed by a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women serving in the armed forces here and abroad.

There was one member, Gloria Bickford, celebrating a birthday for February. Marlene Newhall became a member at this meeting after attending for three meetings. John Beaudoin is on the sick list; members wish him well.

The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and accepted as read.

All present were reminded of the Valentine’s party at noon Monday, Feb. 11. A surprise guest will be present with music. The club is supplying pizzas and Nancy Couture will be bringing the special dessert. Pat Laverdiere, Gail Laverdiere and Rita Fuller will supply the fixings for the meal.

Pat asked the group present if they still wanted to hold the meeting on Feb. 18 even if President Fern Doiron and George Doiron will not be available for setting up the hall and holding the meeting. It was voted that others will help and the meeting will still be held.

The son and daughter-in-law of Clemence Moreau have notified the group that they will be doing the second Easter basket in her memory.

Carol Redman won the 50/50. Door prizes donated by members were won by Janet Wright, Carol Redman and Carmen Moreau.

Following the meeting refreshments were served and the members enjoyed cards and games.
