GFWC/MFWC President Anne Cress, far right, was guest of honor at a recent brunch meeting of the GFWC/Livermore Falls Woman’s Club. From left are Sue Loughrey, speech pathologist who was the special speaker; Linda Burdo; and Minnie McCormick, project chairwoman for Newborns in Need. Loughrey talked about her work with both adults and children. McCormick explained all the small items of clothing needed for the very small babies helped by Newborns in Need. Members of the club donated items they had made for that project. A silent auction was conducted at the end of the meeting. Members will be attending Women’s Legislative Council in Augusta on Feb. 21 and March 21. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be March 28 at the Jay Niles Library. The speaker will be Dr. Kiernan of Paradigm Wellness.
