PERU — Gary and Tracy Chiasson of Peru are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Marie Chiasson of Mexico, to Kevin Lloyd Capponi of Mexico, son of Kathleen and Dave Theriault and the late Timothy Capponi.

Ms. Chiasson is a 2009 graduate of Dirigo High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services. She plans to graduate in 2014 from the University of New England with a master’s degree in social work. She obtained her license in the state of Maine as a licensed social worker conditional and is currently employed at the Hope Association in Rumford. She is also fulfilling an internship as a social worker in the RSU 10 District Schools.

Mr. Capponi is a 2005 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in construction management technology. He is currently employed as a project manager at Bancroft Contracting in South Paris.

An Aug. 10 wedding will be held at 49 Franklin Street in Rumford.
