FARMINGTON — Police are investigating a weekend burglary and theft of a video camera system from the lodge at Titcomb Mountain Ski Slope.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, an employee arrived and noticed the back door of the lodge open, Rachel Heseltine, Farmington police secretary, said.

When Farmington police Officers Erik Candage and Darin Gilbert responded, they found a drawer open and the main office door unlatched. At first, they weren’t sure if it had been left like that or someone had actually broken in, she said.

The ski slope manager then noticed the camera system in the main office was missing. The estimated value is nearly $600.

That is the only thing reported missing at this point. It is still under investigation, she said.
