1933 – 2013

ANDOVER — Allen Robert Bodwell, 79, died Monday, Feb. 11, at his residence on Pine Street, Andover.

He was born June 9, 1933, in Rumford, and was the son of Harold and Eva (Damon) Bodwell. He graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1957, and had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1958.

Allen worked at Andover Wood Products for many years, retiring from the Sawing Department.

He was a member of Napoleon Ouellette Post No. 24, American Legion, member of Maine Snowmobile Association, member of Snow Valley Sno-goers Snowmobile Club, a member of the Roxbury ATV Club and a member of Pineland Ski Club.

Survivors include his sister, Ruth Hilton and husband, Russell “Dusty” of Andover; niece, Joscelyne Hilton and companion, Craig Silva of Lebanon; nephew, Jason Hilton and companion, Tracey Jean of Lebanon; great-nieces, Emily Silva and Zoe Hilton of Lebanon; and a great-nephew, Jacob Hilton of D’lberville, Miss.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, David Bodwell.
