Chakra balancing: There is an energy system in your body that becomes weak with daily experiences. Learn to balance this system and maintain your body’s spiritual health. Bring a pillow and blanket to class.
Vinyasa flow yoga: A breath-powered movement class incorporating elements of chi, dance yoga and Shiva Rea’s vinyasa flow yoga. Experience increased flexibility, clarity of mind and restorative relaxation. Modifications for those with physical limitations. Students need to provide water bottle, yoga mat and should wear comfortable clothing.
Beacon Hospice volunteer training: This free 21 hour, seven week training will prepare you to support patients and their families as they face end of life issues. Learn the history and philosophy of hospice, medical issues at the end of life including pain and symptom management, communication, family dynamics, grief, loss and spiritual care.
Substitute training: Learn about school expectations, teacher’s lesson plans and assertive discipline. This free course is one step in the substitute teacher application process for the district. A high school diploma is required, college degree preferred.
