1941 – 2013

WEST BETHEL — Gloria Ann Snyder, 71, of West Bethel, died at her home on Feb. 17 with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Bethel on July 1, 1941, the daughter of William and Annie Chapman Sweatt. She was educated in Bethel schools. On Sept. 20, 1958, she married Ronald E. Snyder, the love of her life.

She worked for SAD #44 for many years as a custodian. Gloria loved sewing and doing geneology. Her grandchildren were very special in her life.

She is survived by five daughters, Robin Snyder of Virginia, Darlene and husband, John Lailer, of West Baldwin, Susan and husband, Dougie Standeven, of West Kingston, R.I., Sally and husband, Jeff Wardwell, of Belmont, N.H., and Louise and her husband, William Rice, of Bethel; her grandchildren, Ronald Denison of Vermont, William Denison of Harrison, Derek and his wife, Amber Standeven, of Westerly, R.I., Shaun Standeven of Charlestown, R.I., Andrew and Travis Wardwell of Belmont, N.H., Charlie, Jillian and Jared Rice of Bethel; two brothers, William Ernest Sweatt of Waterford and Frank Sweat of Rumford; a sister, Olge Sweatt of Rumford; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Elijah Denison, and Jayda and Lyla Standeven.

She was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 17, 2007.
