PORTLAND — Women Around the World for Greater Portland will host its fourth annual celebration of International Women’s Day to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 8, at the Irish Heritage Center at 34 Gray St.

Women Around the World, which includes many members from the Lewiston-Auburn area, is a nonprofit organization that promotes the positive image and achievements of women, locally and globally.

International Women’s Day focuses the world’s attention on the economic, social and political achievements of women. The celebration will include international food and music, as well as a fashion show featuring women from more than 50 countries who now live in Maine.
