RUMFORD — A book signing for “My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord” by Mary Wisham Fenstermacher of Peru, Maine, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 at Bartash Card and Gift, 98 Congress St.

The book includes inspirational poems, devotionals and reflections and a section call A Precious Parcel of Poems especially for and about children.

Other books written by Mrs. Fenstermacher include the children’s full-color books “Pablo Visits the Desert” (2010), winner in the recent USA Book News, Best books competition, and “Pablo Visits the Ocean” (2011) which was the finalist in the same competition. Both books were published by AuthorHouse. These books tell the adventures of a warm weather penguin named Pablo who sometimes finds himself in risky situations. The Pablo collection includes plush stuffies — penguins and flamingos to cuddle — and a CD of Pablo’s Song with the books narrated by the author. The third Pablo book, “Pablo Visits the Forest,” is scheduled for publication in late summer 2013.

All are invited to come meet the author and view her writings. The inspirational poetry book includes several Easter poems. Those who attend the signing and purchase one or more books will receive a winter poem accidentally left out of the poetry book.
