Education is the core of Andover. That is why it is so very important to keep the school; to give our small children the best possible start on their road of education, even if it means leaving the district.

This year’s graduates will be the 114th graduating class and we will celebrate the 84th annual Alumni Banquet. At the banquet, graduates will be presented at least 10 different awards. The banquet honors the current and 50-year reunion graduates.

The Andover Education Fund is in its 30th year, which continues to help further educate our children, along with adult residents wanting to further their education.

We also raise money to feed our children with the Hungry Kingdom Program.

Our community has a full-service educational system, dedicated to our students, today, tomorrow and in the future. That is why keeping Andover Elementary School is so important.

Education is the core of our town. It is what makes Andover who we are.

If the townspeople who agreed to joining the district 45 years ago ever thought closing the school could happen, I doubt they would have joined.

Closing our school will hurt us, to the core.
