The portraits at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College are Nancy Carlsson-Paige, Ross Gelbspan, Woody Guthrie, Barbara Johns, Maya Kazazic, Russell Libby, Eva Paterson, Erik Reece, Zoe Weil and Judy Wicks.
The collection of portraits now totaling over 180 continues to travel around the country to museums, community centers, churches, colleges and schools. Shetterly includes historical figures as well as contemporary Americans, those whose words and actions are familiar, and those who have worked in obscurity.
