“Noises Off” is a play within a play. You see the cast’s antic-filled final dress rehearsal for the bawdy British farce “Nothing On.” Cut to the second act: The actors have been on tour for a month and you’re backstage with a front-row seat to the real drama — the affairs, the fights and the flying props. By act three, the actors have given up getting anything right and you’re along for the ride as this dysfunctional cast stages its final disastrous performance.

“Noises Off” is Michael Frayn’s Tony Award-winning comic masterpiece. Director Kristen Peters brings this fast-paced, action-packed show to life on an amazing rotating set that literally transports the audience behind the scenes and back again.

Presented by Portland Players, 420 Cottage Road, performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. from March 22 to April 7. For more information or tickets, visit http://portlandplayers.org/.
