LEWISTON — The Central Maine Federal Credit Union recently hosted a reception to present donations to Androscoggin County public elementary school librarians.

Books for Kids is the credit union’s signature community project in which donations are made annually to all Androscoggin County public school libraries.

Central Maine Credit Union appreciates the service provided to the children of the community by the elementary school librarians and the annual librarian social is a way to recognize them for their service. Each school is able to use the funds as needed for their library.

The program has been recognized since 2003, with the Dora Maxwell Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in a social responsibility program.

Librarians attending the social were Donna Spugnardi, Lewiston School Dept.; Kathy Martin, Farwell; Tara Bryant, Geiger; Anne Lajoie, McMahon; Joan Garant, Martel; Bethany Martel, Montello; Kim Beecy, East Auburn; Katie Camire, Sherwood Heights; Susan Pease, Washburn; Carla Lake, Elm Street; Regina Moulton, Minot; Victoria Worden, Lisbon; Eliza Damone, Durham; Judy Davidson, Carrie Ricker; Cheryl Mills, Livermore; Susan Swan, Greene, Leeds, Turner.

Central Maine Federal Credit Union is located at 1000 Lisbon St., and 836 Center Street, Auburn.
