This is my question: Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry, what is their last name? Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to have a baby. Will the child have a first and last name?

ANSWER: Sun Spots is not so very amazing, but the Internet is. As for the royal family, they probably don’t need a surname to be recognized, but they do have one.

Wikipedia says that Elizabeth belongs to the House of Windsor (the same name as the castle). When she married Philip, there was much discussion about whether she should take his surname of Mountbatten, which Philip desired but many others did not.

Eventually a compromise was reached. The royals would remain the House of Windsor, but their surname would be Mountbatten-Windsor.

So Prince William’s child will be a Mountbatten-Windsor, with the Windsor having dominance.

When Prince William and Kate were married, Martha Stewart had a recipe for scones with sour cream on her show. I’ve lost my recipe. Can you help? — No Name, Norway

ANSWER: Sun Spots found a recipe at marthastewart.com with cream (not sour cream). Unfortunately, she cannot reprint copyrighted recipes without permission, and those can be difficult to get for recipes. However, if you go to your local library, you can ask the librarian to print it out for you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Could you help me find a store that sells maple-flavored cookies that look like a maple leaf and are made in Canada? The store that carried them has closed, and I cannot find them anywhere. Thank you. — C.M.F., No Town

ANSWER: Internet research led Sun Spots to a Manning’s Maple Leaf Creme Cookie at Dollar Tree. One post on dollartree.com claimed that the manufacturer of the cookie had changed and that the substitutes were inferior. Sun Spots could not tell from the Dollar Tree website whether they still sell those cookies, either the real thing or the substitute (a search indicated that Manning Foods is based in Iowa, not Canada).

Sun Spots found some real maple cookies from Canadian manufacturer Dare Foods on Amazon.com, but you’ll need to buy a dozen packages for $37.09. If you want to order them, you can call Amazon at 800-201-7575. Super Saver shipping may be free.

We love Hormel pickled pork hocks and can no longer find them around the Rumford area. We find pickled pigs feet but no pickled pork hocks.

ANSWER: Sun Spots went online to hormel.com. According to the site’s “product locator,” IGA still sells those pork hocks. There is an IGA in Greene (207-946-5100), and another in Berlin, N.H. (603-752-1050). Sun Spots is not sure which would be closest for you. Best stock up!

You could call them in advance and see if you can order a case. Sun Spots often does that with products that are difficult to find or that she eats a lot of. Sometimes they will even give you a bulk discount.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You’ve helped so many people in Sun Spots and even myself. We used to buy super jumbo flats of eggs at Blackie’s in Auburn, but they stopped carrying them on Feb. 16.
