GORHAM — On Sunday, April 28th, The University of Southern Maine Sport Management Program will host the Third Annual Into the Mud Challenge at Gorham Middle School on Sunday, April 28.
The Into the Mud Challenge gives the general public the opportunity to participate in one of the most unique race settings in Maine. The event features 2.5/miles of mud pits to traverse and a series of challenging obstacles to conquer with an emphasis on getting muddy and having a great time!
This year the event will include an individual division, a team division, and Oakie’s Muddy Dash-a one-mile race for children ages 5-12. The event will also feature an individual and team costume contests. Post-race events will include the awards ceremony and a race day festival presented by Sebago Brewing Company.
The Into the Mud Challenge is run by USM students and proceeds from the event go directly toward the USM Sport Management Scholarship fund.
