JAY — Circle 677, Daughters of Isabella, St. Rose of Lima Church, met March 13, led by Chancellor Laurieanne Castonguay. Recitation of the rosary was followed by the pledge to the flag.

Recording Secretary Jackie Castonguay read the roll call, followed by minutes of the February meeting. Sitting in for absent officers were Fern Dioron, Louise Chabot, Olive Couture, Beatrice Moreau, Gina Labbe and Louise Buzzell.

State Regent Jackie Dostie Smith joined the group that evening. Vice Regent Dorothy Morgan read the names of those she sent cards to, and all the cards that she had received.

Scribe Kim Couture said she put articles in the papers about the February business meeting and the baked bean supper that was held in March. Couture was handed a letter and was asked to put it in the newspapers and the church bulletin for March and April.

Chancellor Laurieanne Castonguay spoke about the upcoming yard sale and she asked if they were going to accept clothing. Members voted that they would not accept clothing. The yard sale will be held May 4.

Rita Crowley spoke about the free suppers the Knights of Columbus hold every month and she thanked everyone who helped.

Gina Labbe, chairwoman for entertainment, said the Daughters will help at the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, April 14, at St. Rose of Lima Church. She said she is still in need of someone to be in the choir and Eucharistic ministers.

Labbe said she wants to let everyone know what the Daughters are all about and who they are, and she asked that members wear a red shirt and black pants.

The meeting came to an end at 8:20 p.m.
