AUBURN — Skelton, Taintor & Abbott attorney Rebecca S. Webber is co-chairing the Maine State Bar Association Labor and Employment section’s luncheon meeting April 11 at Governor Hill Mansion.
The event will provide an opportunity to meet with the executive director, chief investigator and the attorney of the Maine Human Rights Commission. Webber, whose practice areas include employment litigation, employment law counseling and compliance and employment law training, conceived of and organized the event.
In May, Webber will present a program at the Maine Human Rights annual convention. She and John Gause, the attorney for the Maine Human Rights Commission, will speak about “Job Applicants and What They Say: TMI Can Hurt You.”
On June 5, Webber will co-chair the 12th Annual Employment Law Update sponsored by the MSBA and the Employment Law Section. This is the annual event on employment law held by the MSBA for all attorneys across Maine and will cover issues affecting employment ranging from discrimination claims to tax issues to ethics to the National Labor Relations Act.
