1931 – 2013

SWEDEN — John L. Glover, 81, of Sweden, passed away at his home, on March 20, with his loving canine companion, Manny, by his side.

He was born on Aug. 2,1931, in the town of Rumford, the son of Harry and Doris Glover. He served in the Korean War and was employed as an automotive technician most of his life. He loved to tinker and to entertain his children and friends with his guitar, while singing some of his oldtime favorites, like “Ole Shep” and “He taught me to Yodel.”

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Glover; and 11 children, Patricia, Bruce, John, Leslie, Lisa, Fred, David, Dennis, Susan, Kathleen and Michael; 29 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Gene, Lewis, Madeline and Georgia.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his simple ways and lifelong upbeat, positive attitude that stayed with him ’til the end.

Into God’s hands we commend our Father. May he rest in peace.
