The “Mighty Snorter,” according to author Justin Fortin, focuses on a cop who “struggles with his new superhero power of snot,” and it features “offensive comedy and dry humor. Enter the world of police officer Jake as he eats doughnuts, watches TV, and sometimes finds the time to fight crime,” Fortin said in a news release describing the book. He labels the humor as appropriate for young adult to adult.
Fortin, who grew up in Poland, said he began writing the book when he was a youngster. Its completion and publication fulfilled a promise he made to his grandmother before she died.
The book is available at Bull Moose in Lewiston, Bangor, South Portland and Scarborough and also at Nonesuch Books in South Portland. It also is available as an ebook and online at Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, Xlibirs, Amazon, and others.
