AUBURN — The fifth edition of Comedy Fix, a stand-up comedy fundraising series, is set for 8 p.m. Friday, April 12 at the Auburn Fireside Inn. All net proceeds will benefit John F. Murphy Homes, an Auburn-based nonprofit dedicated to offering life-enriching services to people with development disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

Comedy Fix founder Mark Turcotte will host a lineup of comedians including Mark Reilly, Lucas O’Neil, Ted Pettingell, Ian Stuart, Kyron Hobdy and Matt Kona.

“A lot of these comics have been performing all over New England and beyond,” said Turcotte. “I’m excited to bring them all together for this show and raise money for another great cause in the Lewiston-Auburn community.”

Pettingell has performed at the Laughing Skull (Atlanta) and Boston Comedy Festivals. Stuart has been co-headlining the Day Drinking Americans tour throughout the U.S and Canada with John Tole. Hobdy was a finalist in Mohegan Sun’s Funniest Comic in New England contest and Kona has performed at the North Carolina Comedy and Arts Festival and hosts the Comics Coming Up podcast.

Through four shows Comedy Fix has raised $4,940 for Maine charities. Previous beneficiaries include the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing, the Maine chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Good Shepherd Food Bank and Advocates for Children.

The show is for ages 21 and older. Doors open at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $8 at www.comedyfixlive.com. The Auburn Fireside is located at 1777 Washington Street South. For more information, call 513-0742 or email [email protected].
