LEWISTON — Roland G. St. Pierre, 65, of 103 College St., Lewiston, passed away on Monday, March 25, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after losing his battle with cancer.
He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 19, 1948, the son of Napoleon and Jeannette St. Pierre. He was educated in Lewiston schools and received his diploma from Lewiston High. Roland served in the Army during the Vietnam War from Nov. 14, 1967 to Nov. 13, 1970. He was a disabled veteran.
He married Elizabeth McDonald of Alexandria, Va. They were married for 42 years and resided in Lewiston. Roland enjoyed reading, spending time with his family and his dog, Chevy. He was huge spectator of New England sports and enjoyed going to sporting events.
Roland is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his two children, Crystal St. Pierre and his stepson, Michael Wilson; and seven brothers and sisters, Richard and Rella St. Pierre, Ronald and Georgette St. Pierre, both of Lewiston, Bertrand and Gloria St. Pierre of Spencer, Mass., Bill and Brenda St. Pierre of Greene, Nancy Gagne of Auburn, Lucy and Scott Hutchinson of Ocala, Fla., and Joline Fontaine of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his parents, Napoleon St. Pierre and Jeannette Foley St. Pierre of Lewiston.
His family expresses deep gratitude to the staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center for the loving care they provided.
