TURNER — The second Cabin Fever concert of 2013 will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at the Turner Center Community Church. This concert will preview three acts who will be part of the upcoming summer line up at the Gazebo, followed by a jam session of all the musicians together.

T-Acadie is a dance band and folk trio from Maine featuring Pam Weeks who plays fiddle, mountain dulcimer, guitar and sings. Joining her is Jim Joseph, an accomplished musician on button accordion, five-string banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and “feet singing” which you will understand when you see it. Joining them is Bill Olson on guitar, bass and vocals. The trio play a variety of music including traditional French Canadian and New England dance tunes, Cajun waltzes, and two steps. They will get your feet stomping and heart strings humming.

Marty Lang will charm guests with guitar and voice. He has played in such bands as the Country Squires, Bob Seger and the Country Troubadours, The Moondawgs, and the Practical Cats.

Mary Murphy will perform with her bluesy style and wonderful piano playing. Murphy sings a variety of styles, always blusey, sometimes sweetened with the gospel sound. Songs of Etta James, Patsy Cline, Billie Holliday find their way into her performances. With a little prompting, she can be convinced to sing a French song or two.

Donations from the Cabin Fever concerts will be accepted to help maintain the Turner Center Universalist Church, Route 117, Turner.
