Artist Joyce Dubay is a realistic painter of many subjects. She enjoys working on location where many of the paintings that will be seen in this exhibit were created. Dubay is noted for her animal paintings and is in demand for pet commissions, especially dogs. Her admirers comment, “She gives her animal paintings personality … you can almost feel the fur.”
Dubay has been painting for 50 years working in oils, watercolors, gouche and mixed media. Mixed media pieces are done with India ink applied with a brush and watercolor washes finished off with colored pencils.
