FARMINGTON — Two drivers received minor injuries when their cars collided Wednesday afternoon on the Wilton Road in front of Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Charles Banville, 67, of Wilton was traveling east and Jacob Kipping, 22, of Livermore Falls was traveling west about 4:15 p.m., Farmington police Officer William Tanner said.

Kipping was turning left onto Route 133 when his and Banville’s vehicles collided. Both told police they had a green light, Tanner said.

Both received minor injuries and were taken to the nearby hospital by NorthStar ambulance. Neither had passengers.

Banville was driving a 2003 Ford Windstar and Kipping a 1993 Mercury Marquis. Tanner expected both vehicles were demolished; they were towed away by Collins Enterprises.

Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue helped direct traffic.
