SOUTH PARIS — Karola A. Kummer, 86, of Norway, died Thursday, March 28, at Market Square Health Care Center.

She was born in Offenbach, Germany, March 3, 1927, the daughter of Anna and Ludwig Weigel. Karola immigrated to Philadelphia, Pa., in 1963, where she married Theodor Kummer and raised her family and worked as a seamstress.

She was a strong-willed woman who lived her life just as she wanted and left in the same way, uniquely touching lives wherever she could. Her passions focused on arts and crafts, embroidery, knitting and sewing. She could spot a beautiful, tiny wildflower in a field of weeds. Her adventurous and curious side led to many fun filled excursions, never leaving a stone unturned. She will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her brother, Peter and wife, Gisela, of Germany; two sons, Rainer Grimm of Norway and John Kummer and wife, Cathy, of Texas; one daughter, Hedy Kummer of Norway; two grandchildren, Amanda and Paul Kummer of Texas; and one great-grandchild, Abigail Kummer of Texas.
