LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating a break-in at a garage on Park Street where several woodworking tools, battery-operated hedge and grass trimmers, and diesel fuel were stolen.
A window was broken to get into the garage over the weekend, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday. The report of vandalism and theft came in at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.
The items taken are valued at about $900, he said. That does not include damage to the window.
Officer Joe Sage is investigating.
In another theft reported at 1:43 p.m. Thursday, a portable generator was stolen from a porch on Pine Ridge Loop, Steward said. The generator was chained to a bunk bed, which was bolted to a wall. The bunk bed was ripped from the wall when the generator was taken, he said.
The generator is valued at $250.
Lt. Thomas Gould is investigating that case, he said.
