AUBURN — A tractor-trailer carrying bottled water rolled onto its side on Poland Spring Road on Wednesday afternoon. Most of its contents were contained, but the truck blocked the roadway to all traffic.
Authorities at the scene said the driver appeared to lose control of the truck on a turn and lose consciousness during the rollover. Although he regained consciousness by the time emergency personnel arrived, he was taken to the hospital for observation.
Police were diverting traffic to Bald Hill Road at about 5 p.m.
It appeared the contents of the tractor-trailer — bottles of Poland Spring water — were largely contained, despite extensive damage to the truck.
