Plans for 9,000 square feet of self-storage space at the former Bible Speaks Church site on Turner Street, Auburn, were rejected 5-1 Tuesday by the Planning Board which said the use would be inconsistent with existing zoning. “I would like to see this land developed to this type of venture but not while it’s Low Density Country Residential,” member Dennis Spofford said. Paul Choate, who made the motion to reject the site plan review of Lake View Storage proposed by developer Daniel Lajoie, said three 3,000-square-foot buildings on the property would create too great of an impact in the residential zone.
