LEWISTON — WPXT-TV has announced that Green Screen Adventures is featuring the work submitted by Benjamin Ebersole from Vineyard Christian School in Lewiston.

He wrote “Fuzz Balls in the Basement” which will air on Green Screen Adventures at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 14, on Me-TV. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes Brain Game based on “Fuzz Balls in the Basement” will air on Green Screen Adventures a week later at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 21, on WPXT, Channel 51.2 and Time Warner Cable, Channel 87.

“We’re excited to see so many students around the country submit their stories to Green Screen Adventures. We are constantly impressed with the creativity, talent and quality of the work on this show,” said Doug Finck, WPXT vice president/general manager.

The nationally award-winning children’s television show selects writing and illustrations by students and brings them to life. Its mission is to promote literacy, engaging as many children as possible. Since the March 2007 premiere of Green Screen Adventures, writings from more than 2,000 students have been featured in 350 episodes.

The website, www.greenscreenadventures.tv, provides creative, interactive tools for children to write stories and draw pictures on the site and easily submit their work.
