AUBURN — Albert F. “Tom” Kaechele Sr., 77, a resident of Town and Country Drive, Lisbon, died Wednesday, April 17 at the Hospice House, after loosing a long battle with cancer, with his loving wife Judy by his side.

He was born in Battle Creek, Mich., July 12, 1935, the son of Aaron and Wilma (Dentler) Kaechele. Following his education, Tom joined the U.S. Air Force serving during the Cold War. After his enlistment, he became a heavy equipment operator in the farming and construction industry.

In December 1999, he married the love of his life, the former Judy DiMambro. His hobbies included woodworking, dancing, car racing, camping, traveling, family get-togethers and making people laugh. When he smiled he lit up the room and he had a personality that could win over your heart by all who knew him. He was a man that was to be admired. He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of Lisbon; one daughter, Linda Kaechele of Auburn; one brother, Kim E. Kaechele of Michigan; one sister, Nancy Ann Cassada of Michigan; one stepdaughter, Cindy Gowell of Sabattus; one stepson, Michael Tardif and wife, Linda, of Monmouth; one stepgrandson, Michael Wing and fiancee, Jennifer Arno, of Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews
