AUBURN — William L. “Bill” Giguere, 60, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, April 20, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 31, 1952, son of Richard and Cecile Belanger Giguere. He was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1971. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and married Louise Chouinard Nov. 27, 1983. Prior to his long illness, Bill was employed as a truck driver for Ryder Trucking.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car and NASCAR racing, but especially loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed the company of his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Louise of Auburn; a daughter, Angela Spinney and husband, Michael, of Minot; a son, Raymond Giguere of Auburn; his mother, Cecile Giguere of Greene; a granddaughter, Mikayla Spinney; two sisters, Rachel Goding and husband, Dale, of Auburn and Betty Steward and husband, Clint, of Greene; his mother-in-law, Estelle Chouinard of Lewiston; three sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Isabella Renee Foley; his father, Richard; and a brother, Donald.
