The Mahoosic Community Band plays music that includes “Volare” by Domenico and “Cabaret” by John Kander, arranged by Norman Leyden. They also play favorites such as “St. Thomas” by Sonny Rollins which features the percussion section, The Blues Brothers’ “Revue,” Benny Goodman: The King of Swing, Shoutin’ Liza featuring the trombone section, and “Les
Miserables” by Warren Barker.

BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band will perform its spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at the West Parish Congregational Church.

The band, directed by Patricia Boyle-Wight, is preparing for summer performances at Memorial Day parades, Waterford’s music celebration in July, and end-of-the-summer concert in August at Gould Academy Bingham Hall.

The band rehearses at 7 p.m. Mondays at the West Parish Congregational Church. New members are always welcome.
