FARMINGTON — Students at Mt. Blue Middle School are undertaking projects that benefit others.

Several are holding a spaghetti dinner Saturday to benefit the Care and Share Food Closet in Farmington. The dinner is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 27 at Trinity United Methodist Church on Farmington Falls Road, Hunter Bolduc said in an email.

A silent auction will be held to provide cash so the food closet can buy supplies at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank in Auburn, he said.

Working with Bolduc are Ben Christopher, Aiden Underwood, Marshal Doyen and Leeland Dyke, with help from Joe Crandall, Gage Perry, Zoe Huish and Reed Wells.

They’ve made the plans, secured donations for the meal, put up posters and asked for items for the auction, Bolduc’s father, Michael, said. They’ll also wait on tables and work in the kitchen, where parents will provide help.

The menu includes spaghetti, homemade meatballs, green salad, garlic bread, drinks and brownie sundaes.

Suggested dinner prices are 10 canned goods, a large package of toilet paper or paper towels, four jars of peanut butter or other food items. Cash prices are $8 for adults, $6 for children under 12, and $25 per family.

“All will be fed, no one will be turned away,” Bolduc said.
