LEWISTON — A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Marie-Blanche Cote was celebrated Wednesday morning by the Rev. Marc Caron at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.

During Mass, Marie’s granddaughter, Kara Cougle, proclaimed a reading of scripture. Marie’s daughter-in-law, Louise Cote, recited the Prayer of the Faithful and the offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Marie’s great-grandsons, Cameron Sturgis and Landon Cougle.

Following a procession to the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Deacon Dean Lachance recited committal prayers. The urn bearers were Allen Kirouac, Tom Cote, Dawn Kelley and Olivia Cote. At the conclusion of services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Italian Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
