What is wrong with Gov. Paul LePage? He is proposing taking away benefits from people who really need them. He is trying to make back the money he and other government officials spent on everything but what the people really need — food, jobs and medical care.

My nephew is recently divorced with a 1-year-old baby. One month ago, government officials took everything away from him with no warning. They barely have anything and now they have even less, not even food. That is the worst thing I have ever heard of.

The federal government has cut off much of what veterans get — a nice promise that has been broken.

North Korea is being troublesome, yet there are cuts to military spending. Somebody lost something up there.

Another stupid government mistake. Why don’t elected officials take a pay cut? How many servicemen are going to re-enlist when they find out officials are taking money back?

Veterans are expected to drive to Togus and back for $21. That leaves $18 for gas to go 120 or 130 miles. My truck can’t do it. I used to get $47. Now I am told that it is because my doctor isn’t a specialist. I have six specialists up there; one doctor and one special nurse who gives me a shot once a month, yet they don’t count.

How are all the things (arms, bombs, jets, etc.) being replaced that the U.S. has left in other countries? Why aren’t they being replaced?
