LISBON FALLS — Joe Philbrick’s double in the fifth inning proved to be the difference as Lisbon went on to beat Oak Hill 3-1 in MVC baseball action Wednesday.
Kyle Bourget threw a strong game on the mound for Lisbon with 12 K’s and four walks to earn his second win of the season. Tucker Brannon chipped in with two runs scored and a double for Lisbon (3-4).
Brady Dion had a double in the third to drive in the only run for the Raiders (2-3). Dalton Burns had two hits and scored the run.
Parker Asselin went six innings with eight K’s for Oak Hill.

Mt. Abram 0
LIVERMORE FALLS — Payton Kennison crushed a two-run home run to pace the Spruce Mountain offense as the Phoenix bolted past Mt. Abram 10-0 in an MVC baseball contest Wednesday.
Scottie Hall earned his second win of the season on the mound for Spruce Mountain (4-2), which has now won four in a row after an 0-2 start.
Matt Vigue added a pair of singles.
Cal Dixon took the loss on the hill for the Roadrunners (2-3).
Poland 1, Yarmouth 0
POLAND — CJ Martin pitched seven strong innings Wednesday to lead Poland to a 1-0 win over Yarmouth in a low-scoring MVC baseball contest.
The Knights (4-3) pushed their lone run across the plate in the seventh on a bases-loaded suicide squeeze by Matt Rabasco to score Dan Bernier.
After doubling with one out, Bernier advanced to third on a single by Corey Cunliffe.
Jake Simard was intentionally walked to load the bases before Rabasco executed his game-winning bunt.
Winthrop 12, Boothbay 0
BOOTHBAY — Matt Sekarak hurled five innings of one-hit baseball Wednesday as Winthrop easily outgunned Boothbay 12-0 in another MVC matchup.
Dakota Carter led the Ramblers (4-0) with three hits and two RBIs, while Zack Steele and Sekerak also each drove in a run off two hits.
Bill Drummond started out on the hill for Boothbay (0-4) and was tagged with the loss.
Dirigo 12, Madison 4
DIXFIELD — T.J. Frost led a potent Dirigo attack with a pair of home runs and four RBI as the Cougars overtook Madison 12-4 in MVC baseball action Wednesday.
Anthony Todd also belted a round-tripper.
Brett Whittemore added a triple and three other hitters smacking doubles to fuel the Dirigo (4-1) attack.
Garrett Emery went the distance on the mound for Madison in the loss.
