RANGELEY — The Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust announces that Mark Robie and Deanna Caron have joined the team. Robie is the new camp director of Eco Venture Camp for Kids and Caron as the office manager.

Robie has been employed for the past six years as the Ski and Ride School director at Saddleback. He also oversees the day care and guest services’ host programs. Prior to that, he worked as a ski and snowboard instructor and supervisor at Sugarloaf for more than 20 years. Having been a Master Maine Guide for almost 30 years, he started as a rafting guide and then spent many summers working as a full-time fly fishing guide.

His outdoor interests include, fishing, hunting, picking wild mushrooms, birding, hiking, paddling, identifying local flora and fauna, aquatic entomology, and any excuse he can come up with to be out in the woods learning something new or sharing what he has learned with someone else.

He lives in Rangeley.

In the newly created position of office manager, Caron will be the face behind the counter assisting the staff in the administrative duties associated with bookkeeping, human resources, and more.

She is a 1994 graduate of the Rangeley Lakes Regional School and attended the University of Southern Maine. She has worked at Sugarloaf resort for the past 16 years, most recently as the unit controller for Centerplate/Boston Culinary Group.

She has served as the treasurer for the Stratton/Eustis Parent Teacher Conference for the past seven years. In her free time, she leads the local Daisy Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts.

She lives in Coplin Plantation with her husband and two daughters.
