MONMOUTH — Winthrop scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning and Cat Oulette tripled and drove in four runs as the Ramblers held off Monmouth Academy, 9-8, in a softball game Monday.

The Mustangs were leading 7-6 before the Ramblers’ late-game heroics in the seventh. Danielle Pease had a single and double and Randi Dennett had two hits and drove in a run for Winthrop.

Krissi Doughty got the win on the mound for the Ramblers. For Monmouth, Kylie Kemp doubled and drove in three runs.

Oak Hill 15, Boothbay 0

WALES — Jamie Prue smacked a three-run homer in the first inning during Oak Hill’s 12-hit attack and winning pitcher Kortni Michaud struck out two batters, allowed one hit, and had two hits as the Raiders rolled past Boothbay 15-0 in softball game Monday.

Oak Hill (5-2) rang up 12 runs in the first inning and collected another three in the fourth inning.

Lauren Beganny wen 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, Taylor Veilleux smacked a single and a double and knocked in three runs, and teammate Kelsey Collins smacked a single, double and picked up an RBI for Oak Hill.

MCI 6, Leavitt 0

TURNER — Vicky Drake and catcher Kat Smidberg each had two singles, and winning pitcher Courtney Fowler threw a one-hitter as MCI shut out Leavitt, 6-0, in a softball game Monday.

MCI used eight hits to knock down Leavitt (1-7). Courtney Fowler got the win on the mound. Leavitt’s Emily Perkins had a single.

Mountain Valley 6, Telstar 3

RUMFORD — Winning pitcher Lindsay Marston threw a three-hitter and Katie Mills had two hits as Mountain Valley kept Telstar at bay with a 6-3 victory in a softball game Monday.

The game was tied at 3 when the Falcons (3-3) picked up a total of three runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Telstar pitcher Jessie Dirago struck out 11 batters.

Poland 13, Sacopee Valley 0

POLAND — Kelsey DeBurra and Haley Whitworth both went the distance with a home run to lead Poland to a 13-0 win over Sacopee Valley in softball game Monday night.

Kolby Woods stayed strong all night, allowing zero runs on the mound in the win. Lindsay Theriault and Kylie Martin contributed with two hits and an RBI each. Lizz Moulton recorded a hit but had a tough day on the mound for the Hawks.

Dirigo 11, Carrabec 4

DIXFIELD — Emma Lueders and Ambyr Wilson smacked two hits each as Dirigo swept past Carrabec11-4 in softball action Monday.

Lauren Henderson had a strong game on the mound to go along with some solid scoring from Lueders, Wilson, and Gretchen Bradbury from Dirigo (6-1). Courtney Lancaster attempted to keep the Cobras in the game with a double and an RBI. Brooke Lewis recorded the loss on the mound for Carrabec (2-5).

Madison 5, Mt. Abram 1

MADISON — Emily Mckenney gave up two hits and received adequate run support as Madison hustled to a 5-1 victory over Mt. Abram in an MVC softball tilt Monday.

Erika Parker led the undefeated Bulldogs (9-0) with two hits and two RBIs, while Samantha Bruce and Kirsten Wood pounded out two hits apiece.

Taylor Jordan went the distance for Mt. Abram (3-4) and was tagged with the loss.

Messalonskee 16, Lewiston 6

LEWISTON — Sydney Gagne netted six goals and Kristen Keran added five as Messalonskee overpowered Lewiston 16-6 in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Monday.

Mikayla Turner chipped in for the Eagles (5-0) with three goals, while single tallies by Natalie St. Pierre and Allison Fischang completed the scoring. Izzy Skinner made five saves to notch the win.

The Blue Devils (3-2) were paced by Kelsey Dumond with four goals, while Mariah Carrier and Sierra Thistlewaite also tallied. Samantha Cote turned aside 15 shots for Lewiston.
