PORTLAND — Jacqueline C. LaBrecque, 73, of Sabattus, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, at Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family at her side.

She was born in Sabattus, May 19, 1939, the daughter of the late Aime and Alma (Thibodeau) Vachon and had been a resident of this community all of her life. She attended Sabattus schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1957.

She was employed at Lewiston Municipal Credit Union, Androscoggin Savings Bank and Lewiston High School.

Jacqueline loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, vacationing with her family at Wells Beach and Ogunquit and hosting holiday family gatherings. She also enjoyed attending plays and local events such as the La Rencontre. She was a member of the New Auburn Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Richard M. LaBrecque, whom she married on May 19, 1962 of Sabattus; three daughters, Anne Bergeron and her companion, Mike, of Auburn, Lisa Pomerleau and her husband, Armand, of Sabattus and Julie LaBrecque of Winterport; four grandchildren, Zak Bergeron, Noah and Alex Pomerleau and Wyatt Stearns; one sister, Rita Vachon of Sabattus; one brother, Marc J. Vachon of Auburn; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her father, who died at 54, in 1965; her mother at 96, in 2008; and her brother, J. Richard Vachon at 74, in 2011.
