DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thanks for a great column. I have been reading letters and commits in your column on the easiest way to clean windows. May I add what I do?

A few years ago I was complaining to my boss about how hard it was to keep my windows clean and free of streaks. She gave me a can of Invisible Glass made by Stoner. It is the BEST window cleaner ever!

It is made to detail car windows, and the only place I have been able to buy it is at VIP, but it can probably be bought at any car supply store. It comes in both an aerosol can or spray bottle.

All you do is use it like any other spray window cleaner and wipe it down with paper towels. It’s as easy as that. It really does make the glass in your windows look invisible. Works great on car windows, too. — Wales reader via email

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the inquiry about heating systems (April 19), I have a Fujitsu mini split air conditioner and heat pump. It runs on refrigerant and is mounted on the wall connected to a fan outside.

It heats in the winter and cools in the summer. I think it’s great.

The first month I had it I used 89 gallons of oil, mostly for hot water. I’m not running my furnace at all now.

I bought it from Four Seasons Energy in North Yarmouth. They also sell them at Nadeau’s Refrigeration, 137 Spring St., Auburn, 786-3246, 800-287-3246.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: My fifth-grade teacher assigned my class a project to learn more about the states in the United States of America. I live in California, but I chose to do my report on the state of Maine because that is where my grandfather was born and raised.

My report is due on May 29. I was hoping to get some help from the people of Maine. Could you please send me information or interesting facts about your beautiful state that I could share with my classmates?

Please send the information to me c/o Arboga Elementary School, 1686 Broadway, Arboga, CA 95961. Thank you. — David Gothrow, age 10
