FARMINGTON — A Chesterville man was indicted Tuesday on charges he fired a shotgun loaded with buckshot at a truck pulling away from his house in January.
Dennis Meaney, 26, was indicted by the Franklin County grand jury on one felony count of aggravated reckless conduct and one misdemeanor count each of domestic violence criminal threatening and domestic violence assault.
Assistant District Attorney James Andrews previously said in a hearing to lower Meaney’s bail that a court document stated Meaney fired the 12-gauge shotgun at a truck driven by a man he believed was his wife’s “paramour.”
“The vehicle showed lead fragments in the tailgate, passenger compartment and windshield,” according to a Maine State Police report.
