Here we go again — another inaccurate opinion by a non-expert in the field.

In his syndicated column, May 9, Dr. Keith Roach stated that rapid velocity neck chiropractic manipulation can, rarely, “cause serious side effects” and “I strongly recommend against rapid velocity neck manipulation.”

Nowhere does he say how many people every day are treated successfully and safely in a chiropractor’s office. Nor did he state that a chiropractor’s malpractice insurance is one of the lowest in the medical community. That is the best indicator of safety.

I truly hope the opinion of this non-expert does not prevent someone from getting the care that they need.
