This summer’s Art Walk features five signature-themed events on the last Friday of the month from May to September. The May 31 kick-off unveils a newly developing community garden and venue in a vacant lot off Lisbon St. This Roman ruin-like “Arts Garden” has inspired the inaugural art walk theme “Garden Party” so dress in your garden party best and take a walk throughout the Art Walk Lewiston Auburn area. The theme in June will be Color ME in reference to the Lisbon St. Mile Run; in July the theme will be Diner en Blanc; in August the theme will be Block Party; and in September the theme will be Perform It!
Art Walk has increased their gallery list with six new additions including Harold Strout Photography, Prose Gallery, the Cooney Gallery, Chill Yoga, Downtown Handmade and Vintage, She Doesn’t Like Guthries and Creative Trails. The 20 or so venues boast over 30 artists’ works in various mediums including acrylic, oil and water color paintings, photography, masks, sculpture, fibers arts and found art.
