PARIS — American Legion Foster Carroll Post 72 will again host the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Guest speaker will be Jane Fahey, principal of Paris Elementary School.

Parade participants will form up at 10 a.m. at the lower parking lot at the Oxford County Courthouse, 26 Western Ave. Refreshments will be provided at the Legion Hall on Church Street following the event.

The Foster Carroll Post works tirelessly year round to support programs for area veterans, and is continually seeking new members to join with these efforts. The American Legion promotes several programs for area youths, including Legion baseball, the oratorical contest, Boys State program and scholarships.

In addition to hosting events to honor the country’s military veterans, the Post actively participates in numerous programs in support of the Maine Veterans Home and other area veterans organizations.
