NORFOLK, Va. — Richard Ruttenberg, 80, passed away Saturday, May 18, in Norfolk, Va.

He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 21, 1932, to parents Morris and Ruby Ruttenberg.

Richard retired from the U.S. Navy after 18 years of service and became a self-employed accountant at Tidewater Business Services.

He was an avid fisherman and loved the Hampton Roads Admirals. Richard also participated in the American Legion.

He is survived by his children, Billy and Bruce Ruttenberg, Cindy Friend and Carol Baker; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, David and his wife, Gail; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Ruby Ruttenberg, a sister, Ann and a granddaughter, Sherry Ruttenberg.
