RANGELEY — The Class of 1952 from Stephens High in Rumford will meet at 11:15 a.m. Monday, June 3, at The Keep Corner Cafe and Bakery on Main Street. Anyone who wants to car pool should call Barbara at 364-3470 and arrange to meet at the St. Theresa’s parking lot in Mexico at 10:15.

Mexico High Class of 1959

DIXFIELD — The Mexico High School Class of 1959 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Ellis’ Variety. Spouses and significant others are welcome.

Stephens High Class of 1956

RUMFORD — Stephens High School Class of 1956 will meet for luncheon at noon Tuesday, June 4, at Gatch’s Food and Spirits, 137 Rumford Ave., across from the foot bridge.

Last story time before summer

RUMFORD — The final Preschool Storytime for this school year will be held at the Rumford Public Library at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5. The theme is picnics.

Following story time participants will go outside to enjoy a picnic in the library park, so bring a lunch and a picnic blanket. If it rains, blankets will be spread in the Public Room.

All area children ages 2-5 are welcome. Story time will resume in the fall.

RUMFORD — Mexico High Class of 1953 will hold their luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the River Valley Grill.

New show begins at Pennacook

RUMFORD — Pennacook Art Center will open a new show featuring work by artists expressing springtime and color.

The River Vally Growth Council and Pennacook will host a reception to meet the artists and view the art from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St.

A door prize will be given.

The center features paintings, drawings and photographs by local art professionals.

The exhibit is available for viewing during the Technology Center’s regular office hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday.

Beacon House craft fair, auction

RUMFORD — The Beacon House Peer Center, a service under the Oxford County Mental Health Services, will hold a Kickin’ Into Summer Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Rumford Eagles Banquet Hall.

There will be food for sale, music, a children’s supervised play area and lots of crafts to purchase from vendors. One vendor, Karolyne Sloma, will be selling Pampered Chef and will be donating a percentage to the Beacon House.

There will also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Tables are $15 each. Call 369-0868 to reserve a spot.

All proceeds from the craft fair will go toward the Beacon House, which serves people with mental, emotional and behavioral illnesses. The recovery/peer center at 3 Canal St. is looking to improve on services that are in place and to add activities and events. Most recently, they are looking to purchase fishing licenses for members who commit to a fishing club on Fridays at 9 a.m.
