FARMINGTON — A service of Thanksgiving to God, celebrating the life of Lawrence E. Yeaton of Farmington, was held Thursday from the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Susan Crane officiating. Patricia Hayden was the organist and accompanied Daniel Woodward who sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and Tim Poulin who sang “My Way.” Scripture readings included Isaiah 40:28-31, John 14:1-6 , 25-57, Psalm 23 and 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; 10 and 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Congregation hymns included “Morning Has Broken,” “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “I’ve Got Peace Like a River.” Following services, all were invited downstairs to the Fellowship Hall for a reception. Pallbearers were Scott Yeaton, Shula Yeaton, Michaela Yeaton, Tom Nelson, Todd Oliver and Erik Johnson. Private committal services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
