Mechanics Savings Bank recently donated $1,000 to Tree Street Youth in Lewiston. The nonprofit’s mission is to support the youth of Lewiston-Auburn through academics, arts and athletics by providing a safe place that encourages healthy physical, social, emotional and academic development. In the past year, the bank supported more than 90 nonprofit organizations with donations, scholarships and sponsorships, while the staff of 75 volunteered more than 4,530 hours to organizations within Androscoggin and Cumberland counties.
